Another year of shared development: scientific and training conferences 2025
In 2025, Urtica organised three scientific and training conferences for hospital pharmacists – in Olsztyn, Uniejów and Zielona Góra. Each event had its own programme and character, but they all shared the same aim: to exchange knowledge, experiences and practical solutions for hospital pharmacy.

Initial state
The lack of an integrated and reliable data source
- Prior to the implementation of the solution, there was no single, integrated and reliable source of data on the use of a pharmaceutical product covered by the reimbursement scheme.
- The data was collected from a variety of sources and in various formats — ranging from online tools to paper-based reports.
- Manual data organisation increased the risk of errors, inconsistencies and accounting issues.
- The biggest challenge was to unambiguously assign each reported application to the correct funding stream.

Olsztyn 01
- April saw an event for hospital pharmacists from the following provinces: Łódź, Silesia, Lesser Poland, Świętokrzyskie, Lower Silesia and Opole.
- The programme covered both clinical and organisational topics – ranging from the pharmacotherapy of pain and the importance of colloids in clinical practice, through the organisation of work in a modern hospital pharmacy, to legal changes concerning medical devices and the role of the pharmacist within the treatment team.

Each meeting took a different form, but in every instance it brought together specialists who were well acquainted with the challenges of hospital pharmacy.
The discussions focused on specific issues, as Urtica consistently ensures that the programme is substantively coherent, up to date and well organised. Underlying these meetings is the belief that hospital pharmacists play a significant role in the patient’s treatment process.
